Supply Chain Planning Manager at 22nd Century Limited, LLC – Mocksville, North Carolina

22nd Century Group, Inc. is a U.S. based contract manufacturer of combustible tobacco products and the exclusive producer of VLN® reduced-nicotine cigarettes. Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Mocksville, North Carolina, the Company is redefining the combustible cigarette through proprietary low-nicotine technology.

We are looking to bring on a Supply Chain Planning Manager to lead the Supply Chain process for 22nd Century Group. This role will be responsible for the planning and forecasting of production and materials along with the oversight and control of production runs. In addition, this position will work closely with the Procurement buyer to ensure correct inventories of raw materials and fill in when needed for Procurement matters. The position will work cross functionally with R&D product development to ensure BOM’s and materials are established based on production capability. This position is accountable for setting the Supply Chain strategy which will align to overall Operations and Corporate strategy of the company. This person will understand the manufacturing process with comprehension of lean manufacturing to help drive cost saving measures.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to read, write, and understand BOM’s and raw material usage calculations
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in inventory and inventory movements as they relate to raw materials and how inventory interacts with budgets
• Knowledge in standard costing and purchase-price variance calculations
• Comprehension of supply chains
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Understand importance of planning and forecast accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills – team oriented
• Effective communication skills
• Understand and implement risk management

• 4 year degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics required
• Minimum 3-5 year’s experience in supply chain, planning, procurement
• Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM)
• Certified Procurement Professional (CPP)

This is an onsite role at our Mocksville, NC manufacturing facility.
