Job Description

General Dynamics Mission SystemsCanada is looking for an experienced System Engineer to join our A&N Sonar team. In this role, youll lead systems engineering efforts that can span form System Design, Requirements Analysis and SI V&V activities. You will work closely with program and engineering teams, our Subject Matter Experts and customers. You will collaborate with leadership to align project needs and drive technical excellence.

  • Develop, document, and review system designs and use cases, define system interfaces, and conduct analyses
  • Lead System Integration activities, test plans, cases, procedures and methods for system verification
  • Prepare requirements documents and specifications
  • Problem solve to understand the cause and effect in complex systems
  • Review technical documentation, provide analysis
  • Investigate system defects and raise problem reports
  • Develop Integration and Test Plans and Procedures, including configuration descriptions and expected outcomes.
  • Build, configure, and validate test environments.
  • Lead planning and coordinating test activities
  • Execute formal and informal test procedures, gather appropriate measures and data, analyze and interpret test data, and prepare test reports
  • Identify, investigate and document defects, and verify solutions
  • Manage requirement mapping to automated and manual test cases
  • Develop and maintain automated test tools and scripts


Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+years of experience
  • Experience in/with:
    • Requirements development, and system design
    • Requirements management tools
    • Systems Engineering processes and tools
    • Supporting System Integration and System Verification
    • Working in multi-disciplinary teams
    • Technical writing
  • Understanding of Software Engineering principles
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to conduct analysis leading to good conclusions
  • Enthusiastic contributor, willing to learn, and takes pride and ownership of work

It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada



Additional Information

The hiring range for this position is $90,000-$110,000.Our goal is to provide a fair and competitive offer based on an assessment of internal equity and your qualifications, including:
