We are seeking a skilled Blending Assistant to join our growing team!
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with precision instruments, takes pride in accuracy and compliance, and thrives in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will be directly involved in testing, transferring, blending, and documenting distilled spirits while ensuring strict adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced production professionals, gain exposure to specialized equipment, and play a key role in producing high-quality spirits. Successful candidates are safety-minded, technically capable, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, test, blend, and document distilled spirits in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Safely receive, store, transfer, and handle spirits, vessels, and related materials while preventing spills or cross-contamination.
- Perform accurate calculations for alcohol strength, volume, and dilution to meet blend specifications and reporting requirements.
- Operate and maintain production equipment including pumps, filtration systems, temperature controls, valves, and forklifts.
- Maintain complete and accurate records using logs and ERP systems.
- Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment; follow all safety and quality procedures and report concerns promptly.
- Support team operations and complete additional tasks as assigned.
- 21+ years of age
- Valid driver's license
- 2+ years of experience in brewing, distilling, or food and beverage manufacturing
- Proven track record of reliable attendance, productivity, and adherence to safety protocol
- Ability to perform job-related calculations accurately
- Acute attention to detail
- Valid forklift operating license, preferred
- Ability to operate a semi-trailer truck on company property, preferred
- Sensory proficiency in distilled spirits, preferred
- English proficiency as required for safety procedures, regulatory documentation, equipment labeling, and job-related communication
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 40lbs to chest level
- Constant walking, standing, and sitting
- Tolerance of hot and cold conditions
- Visual acuity and depth perception, with or without reasonable accommodation
