Behavioral Health Supervisor at Primecare Medical – Allentown, Pennsylvania

PrimeCare Medical is currently looking for a Behavioral Health Supervisor to work in the medical department at the Lehigh County Prison located in Allentown, PA. Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW or LCSW) to qualify. This a Full-Time 40-hour position, working Monday - Friday, during normal business hours (8:00am - 4:30pm).

Job Responsibilities:

The Behavioral Health Supervisor is responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordination and implementation of the behavioral health program in accordance with NCCHC/ACA/MCCS standards. Other responsibilities include:

• Engage inmates/patients in therapeutic interventions with the goal of stabilizing mental health and substance abuse related concerns.
• Actively facilitate the implementation of the institution's suicide prevention policy.
• Assist in the detection and prevention of inmate/patient suicide.
• Assess and document treatment responses of inmates/patients.
• Assist in the coordination of the admission and placement of inmates/patients to forensic and community behavioral health facilities. Initiate required paperwork for the inmates/patient's entry.
• Serve as the behavioral health liaison between the medical unit and facility staff.
• Facilitate/participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and/or case consultations with staff across disciplines.
• Aduit charts of psychiatric/psychological clinical services provided. Ensure complete, accurate and timely entries are made for each inmate/patient contact.
• Provide case consultation and supervision to Behavioral Health Professionals and Behavioral Health Staff. Maintain documentation of this.
• Responsible for the implementation of corrective feedback and the progressive disciplinary process for Behavioral Health Professionals and Behavioral Health Staff.
• Serve as a member of the Quality Assurance Committee and various committees within the medical unit and facility as necessary.
• Develops and conducts in-service education programs according to annual in-service calendar.

• Must be licensed as a LPC, LSW, or LCSW in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Must hold a Master’s degree or greater in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Service field with a concentration in clinical course work, training and/or experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience.
