Primary Function:

The Warehouse Team Lead (TL) II – reports directly to the assistant coach while overseeing shipping, receiving, storing, issuing of supplies, maintaining, receiving, and processing while managing inventory control levels. A person in this position prepares related reports, serves as a lead over multiple warehouse areas. A warehouse TL II is responsible to daily and weekly warehouse KPIs goal setting, ensuring proper training of warehouse employees. The Warehouse TL II is usually the first one in and last one out for the hourly warehouse workforce. A person in this position is the first responder to people-related issues on the floor as the collaborate with warehouse management team to drive operational excellence. A person in this position is knowledgeable about and is flexible to work across all warehouse areas as the need arises.

Essential Functions:

Daily Operations (30%)

  • Oversees and participate in the shipping, receiving, storing and issuing of supplies, equipment; assure supplies, materials, equipment, are delivered in a timely manner (Operations efficiency should be 95% or more week-to-date)
  • Oversee and participate in the receiving, unloading and inspection of shipments for damage and conformity to purchase order specifications and packing slips; contact vendors regarding shortages, damaged goods or other discrepancies; complete receiving, discrepancy and follow-up reports.
  • Oversee and participate in the stocking of products; plan storage locations; determine proper location of supplies to allow for maximum space utilization.

Team Leadership (40%)

  • Serves as a leader over 30+ people assigned warehouse function; train and provide lead work direction and guidance to assigned staff; prioritize work assignments; participate in the hiring and screening of new applicants as assigned. Lead performance and attendance management. Needs to manage other manage Team Lead I’s.
  • Maintain locations according to established procedures; drive a forklift to deliver supplies and equipment as needed
  • Operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies and postage meters; operate a computer and assigned software to input data and generate reports.
  • Ensure the warehouse is in a clean, orderly, safe and secure condition; Ensure storage areas are following applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations. Responsible for incident reporting in a timely manner.

Communication (30%)

  • Provide information and resolve issues concerning requisitions, stock on hand, back orders and shipment discrepancies, damage or storage; meet with vendors and sales representatives, as necessary.
  • Prepare, maintain and submit a variety of records and reports related to warehouse operations; prepare paperwork for return for credits and verify receipt of returned for credits merchandise.
  • Oversee and participate in the performance of periodic and annual physical inventories; conduct physical inventories.
  • Make recommendations regarding proper storage, inventory and warehousing procedures and improvements in warehouse efficiency.
  • Serve as the Warehouse Supervisor in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor as assigned.
Requirements:

Key Competencies:

  • HS Diploma or some college education preferred
  • 3-5 years experience leading a team of about 30+ hourly employees per time
  • Leadership and team leadership and is flexible to work across multiple locations
  • Computer savvy – Microsoft Office Advanced level + ERP proficient
  • Ability to have courageous conversations and collaborates with management to make CA investigations decisions
  • Ability to teach and train hourly employees + excellent people skills
