This role offers the opportunity to shape and maintain an accessible digital experience for enterprise users across multiple platforms. You will act as the internal accessibility expert, embedded within cross-functional teams of Product, Design, and Engineering, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and regulations while building scalable processes. The position balances hands-on evaluation, training, and program development with strategic oversight of accessibility initiatives. You will influence product design, provide guidance on remediation, and support leadership in communicating accessibility commitments. This role is ideal for someone passionate about inclusion, experienced in WCAG standards, and motivated to create meaningful, measurable impact across products.
- Conduct accessibility reviews for design and engineering work, identifying WCAG issues early and defining remediation criteria.
- Advise on accessible design patterns, ensuring compliance is integrated into product components rather than added later.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for accessibility inquiries, triaging issues and equipping leadership with materials for customer, legal, and internal communication.
- Build scalable workflows, guides, and training resources to enable teams to independently address accessibility questions.
- Plan and deliver accessibility training programs across Product and Design teams, integrating AI-assisted workflows where applicable.
- Partner with engineering leads and external vendors to coordinate accessibility remediation sprints and manage VPAT/ACR documentation.
- Monitor accessibility regulations and standards, providing updates and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of hands-on digital accessibility experience in a practitioner role (in-house or consulting).
- IAAP certification (CPACC, WAS, or CPWA) or actively pursuing.
- Experience with VPAT/ACR creation and maintenance.
- Proficiency in WCAG evaluation, including structured testing with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS) and interpretation of automated scan results.
- Experience with design systems or component libraries with accessibility requirements.
- Familiarity with ADA Title III, Section 508, and European Accessibility Act regulations.
- Ability to influence colleagues across multiple functions without direct authority.
- Experience in SaaS or enterprise software environments preferred.
