About This Position

As a CNA Shower Aide, you’ll play a vital part in supporting residents with dignity and kindness, ensuring their daily routines are safe, respectful, and uplifting. The primary purpose of this position is to provide daily shower/bathing assistance for our residents.
What You’ll Do- Provide hands-on assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, hair care, and incontinence care
- Respond promptly and kindly to nurse call lights
- Support residents with mobility, including transfers, ambulation, and positioning
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and restorative services
- Help residents enjoy mealtimes by delivering trays and offering feeding support
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and daily care tasks
- Document care accurately using facility flow sheets and task sheets
- Participate in interdisciplinary care meetings to support personalized care plans
- Promote a person-centered care environment based on resident preferences
- Maintain punctuality, reliability, and a positive presence on every shift
- You stay calm and decisive in urgent situations
- You communicate with warmth, clarity, and respect
- You bring patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- You protect resident privacy and uphold professional standards

Requirements:Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licenses/Certification
Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.
Valid CPR certificate preferred.
Experience
Six months experience in a long term-care environment preferred.

NOTE: A CNA who successfully completes an approved advanced skills training curriculum and/or has demonstrated experience in a needed clinical specialty area, e.g. ventilator, pulmonary, and tracheostomy (VPT), can be classified as a CNA II.
