Project Geotechnical Engineer at Ninyo & Moore – Houston, Texas

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company, has an immediate opening for a Project Geotechnical Engineer in Houston, Texas to perform the following duties:

• Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects
• Meet and interact with clients and manage project budgets
• Coordinate and participate in field activities (boring logs, test pits, trenches, core logging)
• Evaluate geologic and seismic hazards
• Conduct forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes
• Perform foundation, slope stability, and settlement analyses
• Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports
• Provide technical support to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians

Education

• B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (required)
• M.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (preferred)

Required Skills

• Licensed Professional Engineer
• 4+ years of geotechnical consulting experience
• Local Houston-area experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and collaborative team player
