Head of Ethics & Compliance

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Head of Ethics & Compliance in France.

This is a strategic leadership role offering the opportunity to shape and strengthen ethics and compliance practices across multiple international regions. As Head of Ethics & Compliance, you will play a critical part in fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and responsible business conduct. You will partner closely with senior leadership and key functions to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and support ethical decision-making. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, particularly in areas such as healthcare compliance and third-party risk management. You will lead a regional team and drive initiatives that enhance governance frameworks and mitigate risk. Operating in a highly regulated and fast-evolving environment, this position is ideal for a leader who thrives on influence, collaboration, and impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, implement, and continuously improve the regional Ethics & Compliance program in alignment with global standards
  • Provide strategic and operational guidance to senior leadership and key business functions on compliance-related matters
  • Act as a trusted advisor, supporting ethical decision-making in complex and high-pressure situations
  • Oversee and enhance Business Partner Risk Management, including due diligence, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote awareness and understanding of compliance policies and ethical practices
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and analytics to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Legal, HR, Finance, and Internal Audit to ensure cohesive governance
  • Support internal investigations and ensure appropriate handling of compliance-related issues
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a regional compliance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree such as Master of Law (LL.M), MSc, or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Ethics & Compliance, including senior leadership roles
  • Strong background in regulated industries such as MedTech, Life Sciences, or similar sectors
  • Proven expertise in third-party and business partner risk management frameworks
  • Experience working across multiple regions and cultures, ideally within Europe and/or Latin America
  • Deep understanding of compliance domains including anti-bribery, healthcare compliance, antitrust, data privacy, and trade compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex regulatory challenges
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Leadership capabilities with a hands-on, proactive, and resilient approach
