About This Position

Job Title: Wholesale – Warehouse Associate

Reports To: Peppy Weaver

Location: Winston-Salem NC

Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Non- Exempt


This position has typical work hours Sunday – Thursday 3PM – 12AM


Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate will perform all work in a professional manner which pertains to the operation and maintenance of a commercial tire warehouse. Employees in this position will primarily be working inside the warehouse and must be focused on both safety and customer satisfaction.


Essential Functions and Tasks:

Assist the Warehouse Manager and/or Store Manager in shipping and receiving of customer tiresLoad, unload, stack and lift tiresUse of certain warehouse equipment, including forklift operationMaintain cleanliness of warehouse and surrounding areasAny other duties as by the manager
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED1-2 years of commercial warehouse experience Valid Forklift certification (onsite training certification available)Knowledge of commercial tire products and services preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Dependable - Employee must be reliable, responsible and trustworthy, and complete all assigned obligations.Attention to Detail - Employee must be thorough in completing tasks and must always be aware of potential safety issues.Cooperation - Employee must be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude.Integrity - Employee is required to be honest and ethical.Communication - Employee must provide courteous and clear written and verbal communication with customers and co-workers.

Required Physical Abilities:

Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:

Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly. Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of timeBending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.

Work Environment:

This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potential confined spaces.
