GYN Oncology Advanced Practice Provider at St. Josephs Candler – Savannah, Georgia

The GYN ONC Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works under the clinical supervision of the GYN Oncologists . The role builds upon general advanced provider training and skill sets by requiring specialty focus in women’s services, chemotherapy management, and pre-and post-surgical follow-up. The APP maintains a case load of patients and bills appropriately for services rendered. Clinical support duties, under the supervision of a GYN Oncologist, include accurate preparation of chemotherapy orders, monitoring and evaluating progress of patients under treatment, rounding on patients, first call triage to appropriate surgical or medical coverage, and ongoing monitoring of patients on clinical protocols by working closely with GYN ONC clinical research coordinator. The APP is required to meet all regulatory and compliance aspects of the role and to participate in quality and revenue cycle improvement activities.

Masters in Nursing or Physician Assistant - Required

1-2 Years Women's Health &/or GYN Oncology - Preferred

Advanced Practice RN License or Physician Assistant - Required

ONS Advanced Oncology Certification - Preferred

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
