Responsibilities

As the Vice President of Casualty Strategy & Product Development you will lead high-stakes consulting engagements for Tier-1 insurance carriers, serving as the connective tissue between complex data silos and executive action. You will orchestrate a multidisciplinary, decentralized team to transform first-party claims data, internal benchmarking, and macro-industry trends into comprehensive strategic roadmaps. Your primary mandate is to move beyond reporting and define the narrative of program success and architect the next generation of program offerings (internal and external).

Key Responsibilities

Data Synthesis & Strategic Benchmarking:

  • Synthesize internal proprietary benchmarks with broader automotive industry trends and program specific data to provide clients with competitive "market-positioning" lens.
  • Translate abstract data into executive-ready narratives that articulate program ROI (and other forms of success) and pinpoint specific "opportunities for excellence" within the carrier’s first-party ecosystem.

Cross-Functional Team Orchestration:

  • Lead and synchronize a decentralized, multidisciplinary team of analysts, ensuring seamless collaboration between:
    • Analysts: Evaluating program performance through benchmarking (internal and external), book of business trends, and client specific data.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Navigating state-by-state regulatory changes that effect the business of insurance and claims.
    • Program Management: Driving the tactical execution of consulting recommendations.
    • Marketing: Aligning consumer-facing value propositions with back-end actuarial realities.

Performance Storytelling & Visualization:

  • Design and present high-level "Success Scorecards" to client C-Suites, utilizing benchmarking internal and external data to prove the efficacy of implemented strategies against industry standards.
  • Lead the "Insight-to-Action" process, turning analytical findings into strategies and operational shifts.

Strategic Client Advisory:

  • Act as a high-level advisor on the integration of people, process, and technology that will enhance program design and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Operations Research, Business Analytics, related field or equivalent experience. MBA or industry certification that reinforces candidate’s abilities in process reengineering, industry expertise, or analytics preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience, including insurance consulting, process reengineering, or carrier leadership, with a track record of managing in a remote and matrixed environment.
  • Strategic Vision: Proven ability to interpret internal benchmarks against external market volatility to predict future claims and underwriting challenges.
  • Operational Mastery: Claims operations expertise and deep understanding of the interplay between regulatory constraints, marketing messaging, and technical data analysis.
  • Leadership: Exceptional ability to foster collaboration across siloed departments (Compliance, Marketing, and Analytics) to deliver a unified client solution.
  • Travel: This a remote position and can be located anywhere in the US. The role requires ~30% travel, thus the ideal candidate will have convient access to a major US airport.
