The HRIS Director will oversee global people technology initiatives, ensuring seamless HR processes, robust data architecture, and system compliance. You will lead configuration, analytics, and security for Workday, translating complex requirements into scalable solutions that enhance the employee and manager experience. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving operational excellence and continuous process innovation. Reporting to senior leadership, you will influence system strategy, lifecycle management, and integration across the HR tech stack. This role is ideal for a seasoned Workday expert passionate about leveraging technology to enable organizational success and deliver measurable impact.
- Own and manage Workday HCM, Reporting, and Performance modules, ensuring end-to-end system functionality
- Lead configuration and optimization across all Workday domains including HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Absence, Talent, Time, Help, and Journeys
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable HR technology solutions
- Oversee critical documentation processes such as offer letters, termination agreements, and internal employee covenants in compliance with legal standards
- Drive continuous process improvements to remove workflow friction points and enhance user experience
- Ensure adherence to SOX and internal control requirements, managing audits and year-end reporting
- Manage the Workday release cycle, maintaining detailed documentation and ensuring new features are fully leveraged
Requirements:
- 13+ years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM configuration, Benefits, Compensation, and Advanced Reporting
- Strong understanding of job architecture, organizational hierarchies, and HRIS integration during M&A activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel required) and familiarity with third-party integrations and data privacy regulations
- Proven experience in Agile environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Expertise in project planning, functional specifications, business case development, and test plan execution
- Workday Pro HCM or Reporting Certification preferred
- Ability to communicate complex system concepts clearly to diverse teams and senior leadership
- Strong time management skills with the ability to pivot quickly in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of security controls, audit requirements, and internal control adherence
