In this role, you will be an essential part of a high-tech training environment, ensuring flight simulators and associated systems operate safely and efficiently. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and system updates, supporting both training operations and customer experiences. This position combines hands-on technical work with problem-solving across electronics, avionics, and computer-based systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, work on diverse projects, and contribute to the reliability of advanced simulation technology. - Perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems to ensure operational readiness
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving routine technical issues on simulators and related hardware
- Execute pre-flight and post-flight procedures, including visual alignments and Qualification Test Guide (QTG) runs
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a management system
- Support refurbishment projects, hardware modifications, and system upgrades
- Provide timely customer support and address operational needs during training sessions
- Perform logistics duties such as parts receipt, repair, and validation testing
- Maintain a clean and organized simulator environment and complete required administrative tasks
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training
- Minimum 1 year of experience in simulator systems, electronics/avionics, automated systems, or computer networking repair
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and prints
- Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, circuit board repair, and basic soldering skills
- Familiarity with PC systems and MS Office suite
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and perform hands-on technical tasks independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration
- Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 10%)
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs, ascending/descending ladders, and performing repetitive motions
