This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and scale a dynamic product design team within a fast-growing digital finance platform. As a Product Design Manager, you will oversee design operations, mentor and grow designers, and ensure a consistently high standard of usability, clarity, and craft across web and mobile experiences. You will partner closely with product and engineering leadership to influence product direction while introducing AI-powered tools that accelerate research, ideation, and prototyping workflows. This position provides the chance to shape the design organization during a period of rapid growth, build scalable processes, and have a direct impact on user experience and product success. Operating in a fully remote and collaborative environment, this role combines strategic leadership with hands-on design influence.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the product design team through hiring, coaching, and daily management
- Allocate design resources across product initiatives to focus on high-impact work and maintain consistency across the platform
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to integrate design thinking throughout the development lifecycle
- Establish and optimize scalable design operations, including quarterly resource planning and cross-team coordination
- Introduce and operationalize AI tools to improve design efficiency, research workflows, and prototyping speed
- Maintain a high standard of design quality, usability, and clarity across complex digital products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive user experiences and adherence to design principles
- 7+ years of experience in product design, including 2+ years managing or leading design teams
- Strong product design judgment with a high bar for usability, clarity, and craft
- Proven experience hiring, mentoring, and developing designers
- Hands-on experience designing and shipping complex digital products (web and/or mobile)
- Familiarity with AI tools to enhance design workflows and productivity
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with product and engineering teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth product environment
- Experience in B2C/SaaS or high-growth startup environments preferred
- Nice to have: design system management, early-stage startup experience, and prior work at a design-focused company
