About This Position
Loch Harbour Group, Inc. is seeking a SharePoint & Confluence Collaboration Specialist to support the Navy in a mission-driven environment focused on enabling effective information management, collaboration, and workflow integration across teams. This role is responsible for designing, managing, and improving collaboration platforms, ensuring that information is structured, accessible, and aligned with operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain SharePoint sites, including:
- Site architecture and navigation
- Document libraries and content structure
- Permissions and access control
- Manage and enhance Confluence environments, including:
- Space organization and documentation structure
- Page templates and knowledge management workflows
- Support Jira integration and usage, including:
- Embedding Jira dashboards into Confluence and SharePoint
- Aligning documentation with Jira workflows and tracking
- Work with stakeholders to:
- Gather and refine requirements for collaboration environments
- Improve usability and accessibility of information
- Standardize content organization and naming conventions
- Implement and maintain content governance practices, ensuring:
- Consistent structure and organization
- Ease of search and retrieval
- Alignment with mission and operational needs
- Configure and manage permissions and user access, ensuring appropriate security and role-based access
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and automate processes using tools such as:
- Power Automate
- Native platform capabilities
- Collaborate with:
- Project managers
- Technical teams
- Security and compliance stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with collaboration platforms, content management systems, or related environments
- Demonstrated experience with:
- SharePoint site design and administration
- Content organization and document management
- Permissions and access control
- Experience with:
- Confluence (space management, page creation, knowledge base organization)
- Jira (basic administration, dashboards, and integration with documentation tools)
- Strong understanding of:
- Information architecture
- Content governance and organization
- User access and role-based permissions
- Ability to:
- Translate user needs into structured platform solutions
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with:
- Agile methodologies
- Workflow-driven environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Power Automate or workflow automation tools
- SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365 environments
- Integrating collaboration tools with other systems
- Familiarity with:
- DoD or federal environments
- Information security and access control practices
- Certifications (preferred, not required):
- SharePoint or Microsoft 365 certifications
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance (required at time of hire)
- Ability to work onsite in San Diego, CA
