Job Summary

Mustang Freightways LTD requires an PM Driver Coordinator, responsible for assisting in the dispatch answering incoming calls, entering pickup requests, and completing the daily dispatch duties.

The Afternoon Driver Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Dispatch trucks and drivers based on customer needs
  • Enter data into computer system
  • Discuss and resolve issues with drivers as they arise
  • Call-taking in a high-volume call environment
  • When issues arise discuss resolutions with PM Supervisor
  • Breakdown, verify and process driver delivery paperwork.
  • Answer phone and email inquiries by customers to arrange pickups and deliveries.
  • Adhere to corporate and departmental policies and procedures
  • Answer operations emails
  • Skeleton bills as needed
  • Assist with closing trailers as needed
  • Performs other duties as required

Mustang Freightways LTD is looking for a positive, energetic individual capable of handling several tasks at once. Candidates should have;

  • At least two years dispatching experience
  • Previous experience in transportation
  • Familiar with the city of Edmonton & surrounding area
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work well under pressure with a strong attention to detail
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
  • Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail
  • Proven data entry and typing skills
  • Strong work ethic and Positive team attitude
  • Sound knowledge and experience with AS400, considered an asset
