Maintenance Specialist—Seasonal
Job Classification
Non-Exempt Pay Rate: $19.00 p/hr Shift: Mon-Fri 8a-4p (April-Aug)
Position Overview
The Maintenance Specialist- Seasonal is responsible for the safety and upkeep of the organization’s facilities and grounds. This position will be open for the summertime of 2026 with the projected date ranging from April to August. This position is offered as part-time seasonal with no expectation of full-time employment extended at the completion of the seasonal timeframe.
Key Responsibilities- Upkeep all exterior grounds of CHS-owned properties along with lawncare and landscaping
- Assist with general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. (i.e. repairing drywall, painting, laying flooring, and unit turns)
- Comply with all organizational safety regulations
- Execute special projects and assignments
- Assist with reported maintenance repairs in a time efficient manner
- Assist with moving donations, furniture or items as needed and across our sites
- Be available for assistance outside of standard working hours during an emergency event
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Act 34 Criminal, Act 33 Child Abuse, and FBI Criminal clearances
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems
- Knowledge of lawncare and landscaping and the ability to independently complete tasks
- A valid PA driver’s license, has a driving record acceptable to agency’s insurance review, and can pass an internal driving test
- Cultural competence, being able to work effectively with all backgrounds
- Ability to both work and travel independently and collaboratively
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisor or senior maintenance workers
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
