Salary Range: $34.28-$36.36 per hour
MANDEX currently has a need for a Telephony System Technician to join our Team based in Charleston, SC to perform in Aviano AB, Italy.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain and support Cisco Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone systems and related network infrastructure
- Provide technical support for telephony systems within the AFNET environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to phone systems and connectivity
- Respond to and track service requests through IT help desk systems
- Install, configure, and maintain telephony hardware and related equipment
- Manage and track IT inventory, including telephony devices and components
- Follow established Defense Health Agency (DHA) IT procedures and guidelines
- Communicate effectively with end users to resolve technical issues and provide support
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Perform basic equipment handling, including lifting and moving IT equipment (up to 25 lbs)
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in technical support, customer service, or telephony systems
- Basic understanding of telephony systems, particularly Cisco VoIP environments
- Familiarity with IT help desk systems and ticketing processes
- Knowledge of IT inventory management principles
- Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree in a related field preferred
Certification:
- CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ preferred
Security Level:
- Must be eligible for a Secret Clearance
Other Requirements:
- Must be a U.S Citizen
