This role combines field leadership and strategic account management, overseeing both a high-performing sales team and key healthcare practitioner relationships across a multi-state territory. You will act as a critical driver of regional growth, responsible for executing joint business plans with top-tier customers while ensuring your team of account managers consistently meets and exceeds performance targets. The position requires a strong blend of coaching, commercial execution, and analytical thinking, with direct impact on revenue, customer engagement, and market expansion. You will operate as a hands-on leader who removes barriers, strengthens customer partnerships, and elevates field execution standards. Working cross-functionally with marketing, digital, and category teams, you will help shape regional strategy and ensure alignment with broader business objectives. This is a high-ownership role in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment focused on both people development and measurable commercial outcomes.
In this role, you will lead regional sales performance by managing a team of account managers while also directly owning relationships with key healthcare practitioner customers. You will be accountable for both strategic execution and day-to-day field performance across your territory.
- Lead and coach a team of Key Account Managers to achieve sales, volume, and engagement targets across the Midwest region.
- Personally manage and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with strategic healthcare professional accounts.
- Drive pipeline visibility, forecast accuracy, and performance tracking through CRM systems and regular reporting.
- Support team execution by identifying barriers, improving customer engagement, and reinforcing best practices.
- Conduct regular business reviews with internal leadership and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and performance.
- Partner with marketing, digital, and category teams to support campaign execution and regional initiatives.
- Monitor competitive activity and market trends to refine territory strategy and team focus.
- Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, mentorship, and structured development planning.
- Identify and develop future leaders within the sales organization through ongoing talent development efforts.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales leader with experience managing teams and driving performance in a healthcare or field sales environment. You bring strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, and a hands-on approach to execution.
- 5–7 years of progressive sales experience, including 1–2+ years in a leadership or coaching role.
- Proven success in driving sales results through team performance and strategic account management.
- Experience with Joint Business Planning (JBP), CRM systems, and pipeline management.
- Background in selling to healthcare professionals or within healthcare-related markets preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of territory planning, forecasting, and performance management.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
- High level of accountability, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Competitive annual salary range of $143,000 – $165,000, plus eligibility for discretionary incentive compensation.
