DRIVER RECRUITER at Warren Transport, Inc. – Waterloo, Iowa

SUMMARY

The Driver Recruiter is responsible for recruitment of owner operators, experienced fleet owners, and lease purchase contractors and rehires.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Exploring creative methods of sourcing qualified contractors
• Developing new sources of independent contractor candidates
• Prospecting warm leads and cold calls to turn them into new contractors
• Complete pre-contract files and paperwork on applications
• Complete background checks including personal records, MVR, and other reports
• Review and process applications of prospective contractors and determine if applicant is qualified
• Assist with pre-contracting process for new contractors
• Explain the company’s operating policy and safety standards
• Set up and manage travel arrangements for new contractor
• Performs other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Four year college degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience in a recruitment position
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong phone etiquette
• Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Strong negotiation, influencing and interviewing skills
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
