About This Position
SUMMARY
The Driver Recruiter is responsible for recruitment of owner operators, experienced fleet owners, and lease purchase contractors and rehires.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exploring creative methods of sourcing qualified contractors
- Developing new sources of independent contractor candidates
- Prospecting warm leads and cold calls to turn them into new contractors
- Complete pre-contract files and paperwork on applications
- Complete background checks including personal records, MVR, and other reports
- Review and process applications of prospective contractors and determine if applicant is qualified
- Assist with pre-contracting process for new contractors
- Explain the company’s operating policy and safety standards
- Set up and manage travel arrangements for new contractor
- Performs other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Four year college degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a recruitment position
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong phone etiquette
- Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Strong negotiation, influencing and interviewing skills
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
