Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist
Employment Status & Work Hours
Location: Lancaster, PA
Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Position Summary
Are you passionate about creating a safe, compliant, and proactive workplace? As a Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and strengthening our safety culture across a manufacturing environment.
In this role, you’ll audit, monitor, and improve workplace conditions, ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations, and partner with teams across the organization to promote safe work practices. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on safety work with continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Compensation & Benefits
● $34 to $38 an hour (depending on level of experience)

What You'll Do
● Audit and document workplace conditions to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
● Support the development and delivery of EHS training programs
● Investigate workplace incidents and employee concerns; identify root causes and implement corrective actions
● Conduct daily safety inspections and basic measurements to monitor workplace conditions
● Ensure safety policies, procedures, and controls are consistently followed
● Manage inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety supplies
● Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
● Maintain safety manuals and documentation related to environmental hazards and workplace safety
● Track and maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and compliance activities
● Analyze incident data to identify trends and recommend improvements
● Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to support safety initiatives
● Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across EHS programs
Required Qualifications
● High school diploma required
● 3–5 years of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience in a manufacturing environment
● Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable safety regulations
● Experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis
● Ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement controls
● Strong communication skills, including ability to deliver training
● Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
● Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
● Proficiency in Google Suite or similar software
Preferred Qualifications
● Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field
● Experience supporting ISO 14001 compliance
Physical Demands and Work Environment
● Work is performed onsite in an office within a manufacturing facility
● Frequent exposure to shop floor environments requiring PPE
● Ability to lift 20+ pounds
● Frequent use of hands, tools, and equipment
● Regular standing, walking, sitting, and reaching
● Ability to communicate effectively (talk/hear)
● Vision abilities including close, distance, and focus adjustment
Travel Requirements
● Occasional travel (up to 10%) to Everett, WA for meetings, training, or project support
