About This Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for supporting the comfort and satisfaction of Old House Hotel & Spa guests by ensuring hotel linens and robes are cleaned, processed, and maintained to the highest standards. Working in alignment with the Hotel’s service culture, operational expectations, and established housekeeping procedures, this role contributes to a clean, safe, and well-prepared environment for guests and team members.

With a strong focus on consistency, attention to detail, and efficiency, the Laundry Attendant takes pride in washing, drying, folding, and organizing linen while using equipment safely and reporting maintenance concerns when needed. Through a dependable and team-focused approach, this position supports the overall success of the Housekeeping department and the daily operation of the hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sort laundry before washing (by fabric type, colour, and item).
  • Remove damaged or stained linen and report concerns when needed.
  • Load washers and dryers safely and correctly, following recommended weights and procedures.
  • Set dryers for proper heating and cooling times to help save energy and protect linens.
  • Ensure only appropriate items are placed in dryers.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain laundry equipment according to hotel standards.
  • Report equipment problems or supply shortages right away.
  • Press and fold linen, uniforms, and other required items.
  • Deliver linen to closets and storage areas as needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education & Qualifications:

  • Previous housekeeping or laundry experience is an asset.
  • Good communication and organization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time well.
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure when needed.

  • Friendly, respectful, and professional attitude.
  • Works well alone and collaborates well with a team.
  • Works safely and follows laundry and cleaning instructions.
  • Reliable and on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Able to complete physical tasks (standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive work).
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
