About This Position

Description:

Premier Orthopaedic & Trauma Specialists is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our growing multi-disciplinary orthopaedic and trauma practice. The PA will work closely with board-certified orthopaedic surgeons in clinic, hospital, and operating room settings to deliver high-quality, patient-centered musculoskeletal care.

The ideal candidate is professional, personable, clinically motivated, and eager to grow within a collaborative orthopaedic team. New graduates with a strong interest in orthopaedics and trauma are encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and evaluations
  • Provide outpatient care in a busy orthopaedic clinic setting
  • Participate in inpatient hospital rounding and trauma coverage
  • First assist in the operating room as credentialed
  • Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies including imaging and laboratory tests
  • Develop and implement treatment plans under physician supervision
  • Perform procedures within scope of practice, including injections, splinting, casting, and wound care
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-operative care
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA–accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current NCCPA certification
  • Eligible for or currently holding an active California Physician Assistant license
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical and hospital environment
  • Interest in general orthopaedics and trauma
  • Orthopaedic or trauma experience preferred but not required
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
