About This Position
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Monitors a variety of Maintenance Systems to ensure proper operations. Performs routine maintenance to Healthcare buildings and equipment, grounds keeping, and provides minor repairs, adjustments, resetting or troubleshooting of systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Building facilities maintenance background preferred.
Valid Alaska driver’s license required.
Certified able to wear a respirator.
Customer Service oriented focus.
Ability to operate heavy equipment.
Must maintain confidentiality including HIPAA/HITECH information.
Certified for airport driving within first three months of employment.
First Aid/CPR within first six months of employment.
Possess current or obtain State of Alaska Provisional/level 1 water treatment certification within 1 year of hire.
Possess current or successful completion of Class III Boiler licensure within the first year of employment.
Completion of ICS 100, 200 within 90 days of hire.
Maintenance Specialist I
Progressively responsible training and experience in setting which provides the individual the ability to perform preventive maintenance and repair in mechanical areas boilers, plumbing, painting, carpentry, water treatment, drain / sewage system, heating and air conditioning, automotive, basic electrical, and minor welding.
Introduced to DDC system Buildings control and alarms network.
Successfully trained in O2 production, O2 bottle handling and labeling. Accurately completing all logs.
Successfully complete OJT Forklift Operator and Heavy Equipment operator training within first year of employment.
Obtain 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification.
Trained with shift duties and rounds for weekend, evening, nights and holidays.
Trained in Patient transport to and from Airport Using required AOA state badge.
Trained with weekend and after-hours freight pick up.
Maintenance Specialist II
Must be provisionally certified for Water Plant Operator.
Successful completion of Class III Boiler licensure within the first year of employment.
Production of O2 and labeling and accurately completing logs.
Must be qualified for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER).
Must be proficient with DDC Building Controls/Alarm network.
Able to independently work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Maintenance Specialist III
Must be fully qualified and capable of operating independently. Progressive responsible training and experience in setting which has provided the individual the ability to perform preventive maintenance and repair in mechanical areas (boilers, plumbing, carpentry, water treatment, heating, air conditioning, and electrical).
Must be a Provisionally Certified Wastewater Operator.
Must have advanced training in Digital Diagnostic control (DDC) systems.
Able to receive and follow oral and written instructions.
Able to independently work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
