Lighting Retrofit Apprentice – Oklahoma City, OK at Stones River Electric – Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Stones River Electric is seeking Lighting Retrofit Apprentices to support a project at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

This role is ideal for individuals currently enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program who are looking to gain hands-on experience in commercial lighting retrofits. Apprentices will work alongside experienced technicians to install, troubleshoot, and upgrade lighting systems in an active healthcare environment.

Competitive hourly pay based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with installation of LED lighting retrofits (interior and exterior)
• Support technicians with basic troubleshooting and repairs
• Safely operate hand tools, ladders, and lifts under supervision
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and manage materials on site
• Follow all job site safety protocols, especially within a healthcare facility
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn the trade
• Some electrical or lighting experience preferred
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction
• Comfortable working on ladders and lifts
• Basic understanding of hand tools and job site safety
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• OSHA 10 preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable transportation to and from job site

Tools Required:

• Basic hand tools (pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, tape measure, etc.)
