Essential Job Functions

• Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
• Posts
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data
• Provide locations with credit card batch reports Post incoming bank deposits by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
• Clear warranty receivables per direction of the locations warranty advisors
• Send monthly AR reports to the store department managers
• Maintain timely workflow through effective communication with Location Administrators and Management
• Comply with all company policies and core values
• Post funding of contracts in transit daily after verifying receipt of funds
• Update and repost deals to correct reserve per funding notice
• Monitory cash position reports daily to determine which units require floorplan payoff
• Pay floorplan notes as required by bank revenues by verifying and entering transactions form lock box and local deposits
• Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices
• Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers
• Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
• Resolves invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures
• Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with collections department
• Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing report
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed

Qualifications

• Experience:
  1. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Abilities:
  1. Ability prioritize and to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  2. Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
  3. Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative
  4. Able to meet deadlines
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  6. Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  7. Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
  8. Ability to use standard office equipment, including a computer
  9. Proficient with MS Word and Excel
  10. Knowledge or ability to learn company system applications, including Motility Systems 2K and other software as applicable
  11. Ability to bed or sit for long periods of time
  12. Ability to be able to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  13. Ability to work in a climate-controlled environment
  14. Ability to continuously engage in visual activities, such as use of computer, files, and reports
