This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance for a dynamic, high-growth organization operating globally. You will oversee a variety of tax responsibilities, including income, sales/use, property, and franchise taxes, while supporting tax provision, planning, audits, and ERP tax functionality. The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can handle complex tax matters independently, provide actionable insights to leadership, and collaborate across departments. You will also contribute to process improvements, streamline compliance, and support external reporting requirements. - Prepare and manage federal, state, and international tax compliance, including estimated payments and income tax return work-papers
- Assist with quarterly and year-end ASC 740 tax provisions and related footnote disclosures
- Review and manage sales, use, property, and franchise tax returns on a monthly or quarterly basis
- Support tax audits, inquiries, and notices from various authorities, providing timely responses
- Conduct research on federal, state, and local tax matters to support compliance and planning initiatives
- Ensure ERP systems operate correctly for tax functions and identify areas for automation or improvement
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve tax-related issues and maintain strong working relationships
- Support ad hoc management reporting, special projects, and process enhancements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or business-related field; MBT preferred
- CPA license preferred
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience in private industry or public accounting
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax compliance, as well as indirect taxes
- Experience in automated financial reporting environments and ERP tax functionality
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in analyzing complex financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, positive, and energetic with a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Ability to think independently, prioritize multiple projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in manufacturing is a plus
