Job title: Fabricator
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Location: Louisville, KY
Employment Status: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Fabricator will be responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating materials, and assisting other fabricators to ensure on-time and high-quality items are fabricated to multiple end users.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Read blueprints
- Experienced with MIG welding
- Ability to operate: Forklift, Ironworker, MIG Welder, Metal Saw, Grinder, Drill Press, Tube Bender, and other misc. shop equipment.
- Quality control to meet customer and internal standards.
- Ability to work in a safe manner consistent with OSHA Standards.
- Track items in the shop using software system.
- Ability to work efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of relative experience required
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other shop drawing required
- Computer literacy and ability to read a tape measure
- Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to meet all deadlines even with changing priorities
- Continuous improvement and quality focus
- Previous use of manual and power hand tools required
