Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Ninyo & Moore – Houston, Texas

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an opening for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will do the following:

• Investigate residential and commercial sites to determine the cause and origin of geotechnical failures, damages, or defects
• Conduct and manage forensic geotechnical evaluations
• Direct, review, and oversee small to large private and public geotechnical projects
• Mentor and train junior staff
• Provide leadership and maintain strong client relationships
• Assist with marketing and business development efforts
• Provide ongoing technical training to engineering staff
• Review and provide direction on engineering work products
• Prepare, review, and sign geotechnical proposals and reports

Education

• PE license required
• M.S. in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis required

Required Skills

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas
• 10+ years of geotechnical consulting experience
• Strong and well-rounded geotechnical engineering background
• Experience with construction and earthwork activities (preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and positive attitude
• Proven track record of successful client relationships and service
