This role is focused on leading the product ownership of critical system and platform capabilities that support large-scale, mission-driven digital environments. You will act as the bridge between technical architecture, engineering teams, and program stakeholders to ensure infrastructure, DevSecOps, and platform priorities are well defined and effectively delivered. The position plays a key role in maintaining system stability, scalability, and security across complex cloud-based ecosystems. You will manage and prioritize technical backlogs that support architectural runway, automation, and continuous delivery. Working closely with cross-functional engineering and cybersecurity teams, you will help ensure alignment between technical execution and strategic objectives. This is a highly collaborative and technical role where strong product thinking directly enables mission success and platform modernization.
- Serve as Product Owner for System and Platform Teams, managing technical backlogs focused on infrastructure, DevSecOps, and platform engineering
- Align backlog priorities with system architects, Release Train Engineers, and other Product Owners to support the overall technical roadmap
- Facilitate backlog refinement to ensure features and stories are well-defined, technically sound, and aligned with program goals
- Lead prioritization of initiatives such as CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, cloud environments, and security hardening
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and engineering teams to ensure platform stability, scalability, and compliance
- Support SAFe ceremonies including Program Increment (PI) Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt events
- Track and report key technical metrics including system performance, infrastructure readiness, and technical debt
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and remove blockers across system, platform, and development teams
- Align testing strategies with test leads and engineering teams to ensure automated and integrated CI/CD testing coverage
- Provide technical product leadership across functional SMEs including cyber, cloud, data, and system engineering teams
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs
- 2+ years of direct experience supporting ATIS architecture or similar enterprise systems
- Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) and SAFe DevOps Practitioner (required)
- Strong technical understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices
- Experience working with infrastructure, platform engineering, and system integration environments
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into structured backlog items and user stories
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills in highly technical environments
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe delivery frameworks and cross-functional program execution
- Preferred: experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, GitLab, and infrastructure-as-code technologies
- Competitive salary range of $130,000–$165,000 depending on experience and qualifications
