Precision TIG Fabrication Specialist – Aluminum & Stainless
Location: Hanover, PA
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Overtime: Occasional Saturdays & Overtime Required
Payrate: Starting at $24+/hour depending on experience
Position Overview
A metal fabrication operation is seeking an experienced TIG welding professional to support the fabrication and assembly of custom aluminum and stainless-steel components. This position involves hands-on fabrication work, blueprint interpretation, precision welding, and assembly of structural and architectural metal products.
The ideal candidate will have strong TIG welding experience, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high-quality workmanship in a production-focused environment.
Primary Responsibilities- Fabricate and assemble metal components including railings, frames, and custom fabricated structures
- Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless-steel materials while maintaining clean, high-quality welds
- Prepare materials for fabrication by measuring, aligning, fitting, and securing components prior to welding
- Inspect completed work to ensure dimensional accuracy and workmanship standards are met
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, and related shop tools
- Identify and resolve fit-up, alignment, or welding issues during fabrication processes
- Maintain organized workstations and support efficient workflow throughout production
- Move materials using pallet jacks, lifting equipment, or other approved handling devices when required
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and fabrication best practices
- Support production schedules while maintaining quality and efficiency standards
- Adapt to changing priorities and workload demands in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hands-on TIG welding experience with aluminum and stainless steel materials
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and measurements accurately
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and shop equipment
- Basic math skills including fractions, measurements, and simple calculations
- Ability to troubleshoot welding or fabrication fit-up issues independently
- Comfortable working in production-driven environments with shifting priorities
- Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Reliable work ethic and effective time management
- Problem-solving mindset with good decision-making abilities
- Flexibility to support overtime and occasional weekend production needs
- Ability to work efficiently under production deadlines
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs when necessary
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout shifts
- Repetitive hand and arm movements required
- Strong visual attention for detailed welding and fabrication tasks
