You will help craft engaging newsletter content and blog articles that highlight mission-driven updates, volunteer impact, and election-related information. The position involves writing, editing, and occasionally conducting light research or interviews to produce clear, accessible, and informative content for diverse audiences. You will work within a collaborative, fully remote environment made up entirely of volunteers passionate about democracy and civic participation. The role is ideal for writers looking to expand their portfolio while contributing to a purpose-driven initiative. You will help translate complex civic topics into engaging narratives that encourage awareness and participation in the electoral process.

• Write and edit newsletter content for both internal volunteer communications and external voter-facing audiences.
• Develop engaging blog articles covering civic topics such as voting laws, election access, and voter education initiatives.
• Research and contribute story ideas, including volunteer profiles, event coverage, and election-related developments.
• Conduct light interviews and gather information to support accurate and compelling storytelling.
• Collaborate with editors and volunteers during regular team meetings and content planning sessions.
• Help ensure all content aligns with organizational mission, tone, and informational objectives.
• Support content strategy by identifying timely and relevant civic engagement topics.
• Produce clear, accessible writing designed to inform and empower voters.

• Strong writing and editing skills, ideally with journalism experience or published clips.
