VP of Engineering - REMOTE

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a VP of Software Engineering - REMOTE. In this role, you will partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership to shape and execute the engineering strategy that aligns with product and commercial growth. Your leadership will guide architecture and technical direction while overseeing engineering delivery and ensuring high-quality execution. You will cultivate a collaborative environment that balances innovation and accountability. Accountabilities
  • Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to shape and execute engineering strategy aligned to commercial growth plans.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering managers, helping to develop future leaders.
  • Guide architectural direction and decision-making for platform scalability and maintainability.
  • Oversee engineering delivery, including resource planning, prioritization, and release planning.
  • Mature engineering processes while maintaining agility in a scale-up environment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure engineering outcomes align with market needs.
  • Support the evolution of a low-code/no-code platform integrating AI-driven capabilities.
  • Strengthen engineering governance, quality standards, and security posture.
  • Provide technical insight to support business planning and organizational growth.
  • Champion a collaborative and transparent engineering culture.
Requirements
  • Strong technical foundation, with experience as a software engineer moving into engineering leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading engineering organizations within SaaS scale-ups.
  • Credible ambassador for the company's engineering vision and platform direction.
  • Ability to operate effectively between executive leadership and engineering teams.
  • Experience leading well-established engineering teams.
  • Pragmatic leadership style to evolve engineering maturity.
