Description:

Please read the full job description prior to applying.

Candidates without the necessary qualifications will not be contacted.

Powder Coating Systems is looking for a Swing Shift Packing Lead to assist on our floor.

This position is an hourly, full-time position.

The shift for this position will be Monday-Friday from 1PM to 9:30PM.

The starting wage for this position is between $22-25 per hour depending on experience.

After the initial ninety-day probationary period, employees are eligible for six paid holidays a year and Paid Time Off (PTO) that starts to accrue from the first day of work.

Employees past their probation are also eligible to receive a Sales Based Production Bonus that accrues monthly, but is paid quarterly.

This position is a management position.

The person in this position is responsible to the Swing Shift Supervisor.

The main responsibilities for this position involve leading a team to inspect and pack jobs that have been coated.

Not only does this involve packing the jobs, but also involves ensuring documentation is complete to turn into the office for invoicing as well.

This position will also be responsible for backing up the Swing Supervisor in case of absence or vacation.

This is a physical position requiring the candidate to stand, bend, crouch, hang and take parts off of racks as well as handle a tablet to record time on tasks. The expectation is that this person, like all of our other management employees, leads by example.

The best candidates will have prior experience supervising a team of around ten people performing various jobs in the shop as well as experience driving a sit-down forklift. This person needs to be able to read and complete work orders for special packing instructions. The person must be driven to the point that they want to get the job done, but reserved enough to notice quality issues and set the parts up to be redone.

The interview process for this position involves a two-part interview process.

The first interview will be conducted by our Operations Manager and will involve a tour of the buildings and yard as part of the process.

Only after this occurs and the Owner approves will a second interview be scheduled with the Owner. He has the final say on hiring for this position.

Requirements:

The following are the mandatory requirements for this position:

-Must have 2-5 years of supervisory/management experience, preferably in a shop environment.

-Must have 2-5 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift safely.

-Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.

-Must have reliable transportation to get to work daily.

-Must have legal documentation to complete an I-9. (Copies are not accepted.)

The following are not mandatory, but would be wonderful to have:

-Experience working in a paint/powder shop.

-Experience using hand tools, air tools, power tools and an indoor crane.

-Mechanically minded.

-Bilingual a plus. (English and Spanish)

-Experience in using a tablet to record information.
