About the role
Insight Xcite is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with hands-on platform development and configuration experience supporting enterprise environments within the Intelligence Community. This role involves designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities supporting high-priority customer missions. The ideal candidate has strong ServiceNow development experience, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and thrives in collaborative engineering environments supporting secure enterprise systems. Compensation is determined based on experience, technical expertise, certifications, mission requirements, and overall alignment with customer and contract needs.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities
- Support implementation and enhancement of ServiceNow modules and workflows
- Develop integrations between ServiceNow and external systems
- Configure forms, workflows, business rules, UI policies, and Flow Designer solutions
- Support CMDB, ITSM, asset management, and operational support initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform, integration, and performance issues
- Collaborate with engineers, administrators, and operational stakeholders
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and platform configurations
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
- Minimum 6 years of software development or platform engineering experience
- Hands-on experience developing, configuring, and supporting ServiceNow platform capabilities in enterprise environments
- Experience with one or more ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, CMDB, HAM/SAM, Service Portal, or Flow Designer
- Experience with JavaScript, scripting, and ServiceNow development practices
- Experience developing integrations and workflows
- Understanding of ITSM and enterprise service management concepts
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CMDB, HAM/SAM, Service Catalog, or Service Portal
- Experience with Flow Designer and scoped applications
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community or government environments
- ServiceNow certifications
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
The pay range for this role is:
180,000 - 240,000 USD per year(Government Client Site – Chantilly VA)
180,000 - 240,000 USD per year(Government Client Site – Herndon VA)
