This role is a key operational finance position within a fast-growing mobile app marketing environment, supporting both global brands and ambitious startups. You will be responsible for keeping financial operations structured, accurate, and running smoothly across invoicing, payments, bookkeeping, and reporting. Acting as the bridge between internal teams and an external accounting firm, you will ensure all financial data is complete, consistent, and properly documented. The position plays a critical role in reducing administrative burden on founders while maintaining strong financial control. You will work in a remote, flexible setup within a dynamic, performance-driven environment. The role requires both precision and initiative, combining finance operations with hands-on coordination across multiple stakeholders.
- Manage day-to-day finance operations, including reconciling bank transactions, matching expenses with receipts, and ensuring accurate financial records.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain accounting documentation for submission to the external accounting firm, ensuring compliance and completeness.
- Support bookkeeping processes directly in DATEV when required and maintain structured financial data across systems.
- Generate and issue client invoices based on internal reporting, while tracking incoming payments and managing receivables.
- Follow up on overdue payments and maintain clear visibility of outstanding invoices and financial obligations.
- Coordinate supplier invoices, monitor payment deadlines, and prepare payment runs for approval.
- Maintain cash flow tracking and prepare monthly financial summaries covering revenue, costs, outstanding receivables, and liquidity position.
- Act as the primary operational liaison with the external accounting firm, ensuring smooth financial workflows and accurate reporting cycles.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, finance operations, office management, or administrative finance roles.
- Proven experience working with external accountants and handling structured financial documentation.
- Familiarity with finance and accounting tools such as DATEV, Zoho, SevDesk, Excel, or Google Sheets.
- Strong ability to work independently in fast-paced startup or agency environments.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow through on tasks end-to-end.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level is required.
- Nice to have: German language skills and experience in agencies, startups, or international companies.
