Role: The Table Games Dealer delivers an exceptional gaming experience by dealing table games professionally, accurately, and in accordance with all company policies, gaming regulations, and departmental standards. This role ensures a high level of guest engagement and service, reflecting the luxury standards of the resort and casino. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters teamwork and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. Builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Experience: Previous experience as a dealer in a casino environment preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of multiple table games and gaming regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to perform mental math quickly and accurately.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable gaming licenses.
- Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Preferred:
- Completion of a Dealer Training Program or Gaming School Certification (especially for multiple games proficiency).
Required Work Cards needed:
- Valid Nevada Gaming License
Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Handle customer transactions for buy-ins and markers accurately and efficiently.
- Verify fills and credits to the game in compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls.
- Notify Games Supervisors promptly of any irregularities in play or transactions during the shift.
- Accept losing bets and pay winning bets according to established rules and procedures.
- Carry out all reasonable requests by management within the scope of the role.
- Deal assigned table games efficiently and accurately while maintaining compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls.
- Provide a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests, ensuring a luxury-level experience at all times.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of game rules, procedures, and house policies.
- Monitor guest play and ensure integrity of the game, reporting any irregularities or concerns promptly.
- Handle chips, cards, and other gaming equipment with precision and professionalism.
- Communicate clearly and courteously with guests, answering questions and assisting with game instructions when needed.
- Protect company assets by following all security and cash-handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized table area, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Uphold the resort’s standards of appearance, professionalism, and guest service excellence.

When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud. Additionally, smoking is permitted in casino areas consistent with Nevada state regulations, which are followed by the employer.
