Assistant US Controller - REMOTE

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Assistant US Controller. This role is critical in managing and overseeing the accounting operations for multiple lines of business within the organization. You will work closely with the US Group Controller, leading a team and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial health of the organization and help it scale for future growth. Accountabilities
  • Manage the US accounting team, including mentoring and providing training opportunities.
  • Oversee the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Champion training and process improvement initiatives for enhanced efficiency.
  • Lead large scope initiatives as defined by management to align with business growth.
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal financial operations.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective operations.
  • Support annual audits by preparing relevant documentation.
  • Create and maintain a documented system of accounting policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing an accounting team.
  • Experience in public accounting is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or large ERP systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
