Position Overview:
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for the accurate receipt, shipment, storage and production process of materials according to all established Company and regulatory policies and procedures. You will supervise and coordinate activities of warehouse workers and drivers, including safety/risk management, receiving, transportation, warehousing and equipment/building maintenance/repair operations, all in accordance with established Company and regulatory policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees and assists with the receipt, coordination and safety of goods coming through the warehouse
- Ensures orders arrive and are shipped on time to appropriate destinations and in expected quantities
- Assists in staffing, development and performance management of warehouse workers
- Communicates and ensures all requirements pertaining to warehousing, material handling, safety and shipping are followed by staff
Expected Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in a warehouse environment, including experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, inventory counts and pick/pack
- Knowledge and understanding of FIFO, OSHA requirements, safety awareness and hazardous material shipping
- Proficient with MXP shipping, receiving, inventory and necessary reports
- Proficient with B2B functions, near-miss and MSDS, UPS, FedEx and dedicated logistics systems and email
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
Additional Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience
- Forklift certification
- Associate's Degree
Physical Requirements for a General Warehouse Team Member:
- Moderate to heavy physical activity; ability to independently lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to walk and/or stand for entire length of shift; regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl; may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance
- Ability to reach, grasp, push and pull with hands and arms
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus; hand-eye coordination
