This role is responsible for driving revenue growth and managing a portfolio of non-key accounts across a defined territory. The Territory Account Manager focuses on building strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and executing regional sales strategies. This position combines strategic account management with high-activity sales execution, requiring collaboration with internal teams, channel partners, and technical experts. - Manage and grow a defined portfolio of non-key accounts, identifying opportunities for expansion into key or strategic accounts.
- Execute high-activity sales strategies, including prospecting, account planning, quoting, and follow-up, ensuring revenue targets are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer contacts in operations, procurement, engineering, and quality functions.
- Understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings to tailor value propositions effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams and channel partners to deliver solutions, support marketing campaigns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, territory plans, forecasts, and escalate issues as needed to support a positive customer experience.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in sales or customer-facing roles, ideally in industrial, technical, or manufacturing markets.
- Strong sales skills, including prospecting, qualification, needs-based selling, and closing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and maintain territory discipline.
- Technical aptitude and comfort learning measurement and testing instrument technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at multiple organizational levels.
- Collaborative mindset, working effectively with internal teams and channel partners.
- Experience with instrumentation or capital equipment is beneficial but not required.
