Description
We are seeking a strategic and well-connected Director of Corporate Engagement to expand our partnerships within the insurance industry. This role focuses on developing partnership with business community, supporting fund raising efforts, corporate membership growth and board development, as well as working closely with senior leadership.
This is a part-time, high-impact role ideal for a seasoned professional with deep industry relationships. The selected candidate can anticipate working about 10 hours a week.
Essential DutiesCorporate Fundraising
- Develop and execute a strategy to secure significant financial support, especially endowment funds from insurance companies, individuals, and institutions
- Cultivate and manage relationships with senior executives and corporate sponsors
- Identify and secure major gifts, sponsorships, and long-term funding partnerships
- Collaborate with leadership to align fundraising with organizational priorities
- Other duties as assigned
2. Corporate Membership Development
- Expand and strengthen the organization’s corporate membership base
- Design and promote compelling membership value propositions
- Engage member companies to increase retention and participation
- Build long-term partnerships that go beyond transactional sponsorships
- Other duties as assigned
3. Board Development & Executive Engagement
- Identify and recruit CEO-level and senior executive leaders from member companies
- Support leadership in building a high-impact, industry-representative Board of Directors
- Leverage relationships to increase strategic visibility and credibility
- Facilitate meaningful engagement between board members and the organization
- Other duties as assigned
- Proven track record in major gifts fundraising, corporate partnerships, or business development
- Strong network within the insurance industry
- Experience engaging C-suite executives and board members
- Ability to operate independently in a part-time, results-driven role
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Former insurance executive, industry association leader, or senior fundraiser
- Experience working with or building boards of directors
- Credibility and presence to engage CEO-level stakeholders
EDUCATION:
- Minimum Master’s degree or other relevant post-graduate degree.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, may carry 10-15 pounds of objects/material, not exposed to extreme noise level, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, taste or smell.
