The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.

Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedule as needed

The Golisano Children’s Hospital at UK DanceBlue Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Clinic is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide comprehensive care to children, adolescents, and young adults with oncology diagnoses and hematologic diseases to help their families deal with the issues that surround prolonged and intensive medical treatment for a serious disease.

This position will be responsible for direct patient care and mental health services in the DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology clinic, and will provide services to patients when admitted to the hospital. The LCSW will make contact with each referred patient and provides appropriate documentation of patient visits within guidelines and following existing compliance standards. Will ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times, keeping within the HIPAA and UK HealthCare operations standards; identifies resource needs and makes appropriate referral(s).

This position works directly with Hematology/Oncology providers and multidisciplinary team to support patient population.

Preferred previous medical social work experience and pediatric experience.
