We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Quality Assurance Technician with experience in offset printing or related manufacturing environments. This role is critical in ensuring that our printed cups meet the highest standards of print quality, color consistency, and structural integrity.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm Occasional Overtime to include Friday's , Enjoy your weekends off!
Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform inspections and quality tests on products, in both finished goods and work-in-process to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements
- Complete inspections and tests and report all quality issues using production boards and end-of-day reporting processes
- Consistently communicate with production management, provide information related to new and/or ongoing quality issues
- Work with production departments and management to develop, implement, and improve quality control procedures and systems
- Identify and analyze quality issues, collaborate with production team to implement corrective actions and participate in root cause analysis, as needed
- Provide training to production team on quality control processes and standards, and educate them on understanding and adhering to quality requirements
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
- Perform in-process and final inspections of offset-printed cups, checking for print alignment, color accuracy, registration, and physical defects.
- Use color standards (Pantone, densitometers, spectrophotometers) to verify print consistency and adherence to customer specifications.
- Communicate quality concerns clearly with press operators, production leads, and supervisors.
- Assist in developing and refining quality control procedures specific to offset printing and cup forming.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for recurring quality issues.
- Train production staff on quality standards, defect identification, and proper handling of printed materials.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards.
The Quality Assurance Technician must possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of quality assurance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and standards
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively without supervision
- Preferred: Certification in quality control or related field
- Familiarity with print quality standards, color matching systems, and inspection tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle print defects (e.g., ghosting, misregistration, ink smearing).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting.
