The Site Director is responsible for overseeing and leading safety, operations, planning, budgeting and day to day aspects of our fabricating and machining facility located in Rock Island Illinois. This role ensures efficient and safe production, strict adherence to quality and regulatory standards, all applicable safety regulations, and cost-effective delivery of precision-engineered components supporting defense programs. The Site Director will supervise employee efforts at the facility as well as partner with intercompany teams on finance, supply chain, program management and other aspects of our business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance on all relevant laws, regulations, and policies affecting defense contracts and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and procedures such as OSHA Regulations and any industry specific safety rules or requirements.
• Coordinate with intercompany leadership, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with program requirements, quality and deadlines.
Operational Leadership:

• Oversee daily operations, equipment & facility maintenance, inventory management and site safety.
• Supervise the work force, delegate work, schedule, staff and partner with Human Resources on recruiting and compliance with applicable employment regulations.
• Manage production schedules to meet contract deadlines and customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement, safety, quality and other Company initiatives.
• Provide guidance to staff and facilitate training where necessary.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Obtaining data, analyze data, generate reports, submit and present reports or data to company officials or other stakeholders at regular meetings or as required.
• Serve as primary GMP interface with U.S. Government (PLJS, JMC) for QCCCF
• Manage financial performance and contract execution
• This role is responsible for all contractual deliverables and reporting for this site.
• Maintain compliance with any quality requirements or standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and compliance.
• Maintain company’s ISO certifications and other certifications.
• Support other company sites and teams as needed.
• Other work and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Candidates must be considered ITAR Authorized US Persons as defined under 22 CFR § 120.62.
• Candidates must be lawfully permitted and comfortable working in facilities with access to firearms and munitions.
• This facility is located inside a military installation, candidates must be lawfully eligible to enter a military installation.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Business or a relevant field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the defense industry, metal working / machining, or relevant experience strongly preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of metallurgy, metal working, fabricating, and finishing as well as knowledge of machining tools, equipment and production methods.
• Must be able to travel, both domestically and internationally, as business conditions may require.
• Experience with and understanding of financial reporting and budgets.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical, strategic and problem-solving abilities.
• 5 (or more) years of proven leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate complex contractual, procurement, budgeting, scheduling and other business concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Quality Systems experience preferred, ISO 9001:2015 experience strongly preferred.

Physical Demands & Abilities
• This position reports onsite in Quad Cities Iowa.
• Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
• Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly, being able to walk the facility, climb stairs, exert or lift upwards of 25lbs regularly.
• Frequently work on projects that require deadlines, this may require working evenings or occasional weekends to meet deadlines.
• Occasional travel, both domestic and international, is required.
Working Conditions
Work will be completed in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment and may require some business travel to Department of War sites, trade shows & conferences, customers and suppliers will be required as business conditions need.
