This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Implementations Consultant – Budgeting Software in the United Kingdom.
This role sits at the heart of customer success and product delivery, guiding new clients through the full implementation of a specialist budgeting and forecasting platform designed for complex education finance environments. You will take ownership of end-to-end deployments, transforming legacy spreadsheet-based budgeting processes into structured, scalable, and transparent system configurations. Acting as both a technical and functional expert, you will work closely with finance leaders, CFOs, and trust teams to ensure accurate data migration, system setup, and successful adoption. The role blends financial understanding with software implementation expertise in a highly collaborative, client-facing environment. You will also act as a trusted advisor, helping clients reimagine how they plan, forecast, and report financial performance. This is a hands-on, high-impact position where your work directly improves financial clarity and decision-making across multi-organization structures.
In this role, you will lead the full implementation lifecycle for new clients, ensuring successful onboarding, system configuration, and adoption of the budgeting platform across multi-academy trusts. You will act as the key bridge between customer finance teams and internal product and technical stakeholders.
- Manage end-to-end implementation projects from kickoff through to go-live, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Translate existing customer budgeting processes, often Excel-based, into structured system configurations.
- Configure budgeting, forecasting, staffing models, assumptions, and reporting frameworks within the platform.
- Lead data migration from legacy spreadsheets and finance systems into the new solution.
- Validate financial outputs to ensure reconciliation with existing budgets and client expectations.
- Serve as the main client contact during implementation, managing communication, expectations, and project progress.
- Collaborate with internal teams to feed customer insights into product and service improvements.
This position requires strong financial understanding combined with implementation or consulting experience in budgeting, FP&A, or education finance environments. You should be confident working with data, spreadsheets, and client stakeholders in structured project delivery settings.

- Knowledge of academy or public sector finance is highly desirable.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex financial modelling and data analysis.
- Ability to interpret and migrate financial data from multiple systems and spreadsheet structures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Experience working in client-facing or consulting roles is highly beneficial.
- Salary up to £38,000
- Fully remote working model within the UK
