This role sits at the intersection of environmental innovation, technical water infrastructure, and strategic account management, with a strong focus on delivering nature-based wastewater treatment solutions. You will lead the commercial growth of reedbed treatment systems while managing key client relationships and ensuring high-quality service delivery across a regulated and performance-driven environment. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will work closely with clients, internal engineering teams, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and compliance. The position combines hands-on account management with strategic business development, making a direct impact on sustainable water management solutions. You will also contribute to shaping future project direction through insights, reporting, and market feedback. This is a highly collaborative role where commercial performance and environmental impact go hand in hand.
- Lead the growth and development of the nature-based solutions portfolio, with a focus on reedbed treatment systems, identifying new business opportunities and supporting long-term strategic expansion.
- Manage key client accounts, ensuring high service quality, compliance with KPIs and SLAs, timely issue resolution, and strong financial and contractual performance across the portfolio.
- Maintain full compliance with regulatory, statutory, and internal standards while advising clients on water and wastewater requirements and industry best practices.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with internal teams, external clients, and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and trust to support contract delivery and future opportunities.
- Monitor performance metrics, provide accurate reporting and insights to leadership, and support data-driven decision-making for operational and commercial planning.
- Lead customer engagement activities including reviews, presentations, educational sessions, and strategic account planning initiatives.
- Proven experience in the water, wastewater, or infrastructure services sector, with strong knowledge of regulatory, operational, and commercial frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in key account management or business development roles involving complex client relationships and technical service delivery.
- Strong understanding of KPIs, SLAs, and performance management within a regulated or utilities environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and senior business audiences.
- Strong commercial awareness, problem-solving ability, and capability to balance customer needs with business objectives.
- Technical understanding of water and wastewater assets and systems is highly desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and eligibility for security clearance (SC level) required.
- Competitive salary ranging from £47,090.60 to £54,808.00 plus monthly car allowance
