This leadership role sits at the center of a high-growth, API-driven fintech environment where enterprise accounts are expanding in size, complexity, and strategic importance. The Director of Sales will lead a team of Account Executives responsible for both new business acquisition and large-scale expansion within key financial services and fintech clients. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution, focusing on building scalable operating models, improving deal quality, and driving executive-level customer engagement. The role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments and can elevate team performance through coaching and structure. You will shape how complex, multi-stakeholder deals are won and expanded across critical enterprise accounts. - Lead, manage, and develop a team of Account Executives responsible for new business and strategic expansion across enterprise financial services accounts.
- Drive execution of complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, and executive leadership teams.
- Build a strong coaching culture through structured 1:1s, deal reviews, pipeline inspections, and active field engagement.
- Establish and scale an executive selling motion, ensuring alignment between customer executives and internal stakeholders on high-value deals.
- Own pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy, territory planning, and overall sales operating rhythm.
- Optimize expansion strategy by improving handoffs between sales and customer success and minimizing revenue leakage.
- Partner cross-functionally with leadership, product, and customer success teams to identify deal patterns, remove blockers, and improve enablement.
- 3+ years of first-line sales management experience leading Account Executives with quota responsibility.
- Proven success in enterprise or strategic sales environments with complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles.
- Experience selling into or within financial services, fintech, lending, or banking ecosystems strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead expansion and account growth motions within installed customer bases.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to coach teams on high-level customer engagement and value-based selling.
- Experience building structure, process, and operating cadence in fast-scaling or startup environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with a low-ego, high-impact approach.
- Ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders while maintaining team accountability and performance.
