Hem Saw Operator in Pleasanton, Texas at Tomball Controls

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Hem Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication, a strong understanding of quality systems, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Hem Saw Operation

· Set up and operate Hem band saws to cut pipe, tubing, structural steel, and plate to exact dimensions

· Interpret blueprints

· Perform precise cuts for instrument stands, control panels, tubing runs, and skid structures

· Adjust saw settings based on material type

· Verify measurements and tolerances critical to process control system assembly

· Maintain equipment (blade changes, alignment checks, coolant levels)

Welding Preparation (Controls & Piping Focus)

• Prep materials for welding
• Grind, bevel, deburr, and clean surfaces to meet high-quality weld standards
• Assist with layout for instrument mounting and panel supports
• Stage and organize materials based on project build sequence

Safety & Housekeeping

• Adhere to OSHA and company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Perform routine machine inspections, cleaning, lubrication and minor maintenance.
• Promptly report any mechanical or operational issues to the supervisor.
