Senior Project Engineer in McDonald, Tennessee at AMAERO ADVANCED MATERIAL & MANUFACTURING INC

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to play a critical role in maturing our engineering best practices as we scale our business to full manufacturing and implementing an ERP. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on environments and enjoys spending more time on the shop floor than at their desk. This position provides the leadership required to challenge the status quo on daily operations and is the driver for efficiency gain as our customer base increases and our capability expands. The role will report to the VP of PM-HIP Manufacturing and optimize the intersection of commercial activities and achieving technical program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing multiple simultaneous projects through a manufacturing line, leading status meetings with engineering work cell leads, leadership, and commercial to ensure program delivery is achieved.
• Support and/or lead proposals as a subject matter expert on PM-HIP component manufacturing process with the commercial team.
• Partner with manufacturing factory staff and engineering work cell leads to prioritize process improvement initiatives driven by the voice of the customer.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and operations to ensure seamless product transition from R&D to production.
• Be a mentor and a coach while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Candidates with fewer years of experience may be considered if they bring expertise in powder metal and/or sintered metal parts manufacturing.
